In July 2020 Bonhams in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Five Dollar Bill with Clipping by Nicholas Alden Brooks. The »bidding war« ended at USD 7,575.00 (€ 6,433.67), 26% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Nicholas Alden Brooks have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life With Vase And Books in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 57,600.00 (€ 44,884.28).

Im Juli 2020 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Five Dollar Bill with Clipping von Nicholas Alden Brooks zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 7.575,00 (€ 6.433,67) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicholas Alden Brooks auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life With Vase And Books im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 57.600,00 (€ 44.884,28).
