Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life with Sheet Music by Nicholas Alden Brooks was sold in the California and Western Art Online auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,657.50 (€ 1,355.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicholas Alden Brooks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life With Vase And Books in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 57,600.00 (€ 44,884.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Life with Sheet Music von Nicholas Alden Brooks wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion California and Western Art Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.657,50 (€ 1.355,27) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicholas Alden Brooks erzielen.
