Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2009 Phillips in London held the auction NOW: Art of the 21st Century, which included the work Lamentations from New World series by Nazif Topçuoğlu. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,500.00 – 4,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,102.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Nazif Topçuoğlu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Triptych in April 2010 with an auction result of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,454.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2009 führte Phillips in London die Auktion NOW: Art of the 21st Century durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lamentations from New World series von Nazif Topçuoğlu zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.500,00 – 4.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.102,19) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nazif Topçuoğlu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Triptych im April 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 24.454,59).
