Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lamentations by Nazif Topçuoğlu was sold in the Contemporary Art Turkish auction at Sothebys in London in March 2009. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,087.63) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nazif Topçuoğlu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Triptych, which sold at auction in April 2010 for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,454.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lamentations von Nazif Topçuoğlu wurde im März 2009 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Turkish bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.087,63) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nazif Topçuoğlu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Triptych beobachtet, die im April 2010 für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 24.454,59) versteigert wurde.
