Auction result well in line with expectations
In September last year Christies in New York held the auction Post-War to Present, which included the work Someday, We'll Be Free by Nathaniel Mary Quinn. It changed hands for a price of USD 113,400.00 (€ 115,915.36) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nathaniel Mary Quinn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Over Yonder, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 212,500.00 (€ 246,484.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War to Present durch, in der auch die Arbeit Someday, We'll Be Free von Nathaniel Mary Quinn zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 113.400,00 (€ 115.915,36) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nathaniel Mary Quinn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Over Yonder beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 212.500,00 (€ 246.484,76) versteigert wurde.
