Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Nathaniel Mary Quinn achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Chad sold for HKD 1,512,000.00 (€ 161,883.29) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 700,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Nathaniel Mary Quinn; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Over Yonder sold at auction in October 2019 with the realized price of GBP 212,500.00 (€ 246,484.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nathaniel Mary Quinn erzielte im April 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Chad für HKD 1.512.000,00 (€ 161.883,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 700.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Nathaniel Mary Quinn; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Over Yonder im Oktober 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 212.500,00 (€ 246.484,76).
