Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Natee Utarit achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May this year. In the 21st Century Art Day Sale auction, the work Duck Birds sold for HKD 1,197,000.00 (€ 143,473.72) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 550,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Natee Utarit - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work GOD, which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 4,032,000.00 (€ 478,684.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Natee Utarit erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Duck Birds für HKD 1.197.000,00 (€ 143.473,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 550.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Natee Utarit mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit GOD beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für HKD 4.032.000,00 (€ 478.684,93) versteigert wurde.
