Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2019 Christies in London held the auction First Open | Online, which included the work La Mera Ferocia (Ferocious Mother) by Nancy Spero. It changed hands for a price of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,694.29) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nancy Spero have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Love, Peace, Glory in July 2020 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 50,959.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open | Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Mera Ferocia (Ferocious Mother) von Nancy Spero zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.694,29) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nancy Spero auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Love, Peace, Glory im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 50.959,74).
