Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Super Chief by Monique Prieto was sold in the Contemporary Art Online | New York auction at Sothebys in New York in July 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 5,625.00 (€ 5,053.91) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Monique Prieto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pedestrian in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 25,850.00 (€ 29,733.15).
