Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,568.08). Admittedly, works by Monique Prieto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pedestrian in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 25,850.00 (€ 29,733.15).

Die Arbeit Balder Than You von Monique Prieto wurde im April 2007 in der Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.120,00 (€ 4.568,08) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Monique Prieto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pedestrian im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.850,00 (€ 29.733,15).
