Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Phillips in New York held the auction Editions & Works on Paper, which included the work You Are Still Here by Mona Hatoum. It changed hands for a price of USD 6,930.00 (€ 6,247.18) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mona Hatoum achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Silence in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 470,500.00 (€ 349,736.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Editions & Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit You Are Still Here von Mona Hatoum zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 6.930,00 (€ 6.247,18) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mona Hatoum erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Silence im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 470.500,00 (€ 349.736,12).
