Upper estimate price exceeded by 33 %.
In June 2020 Sothebys in Zurich held the auction Swiss Made UNLOCKED, which included the work Sofia Coppola, Safe Sex Campaign, 1993 by Michel Comte. The »bidding war« ended at CHF 4,000.00 (€ 3,762.09), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michel Comte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Carla Bruni, 1993 in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 91,000.00 (€ 58,453.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in Zürich die Auktion Swiss Made UNLOCKED durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sofia Coppola, Safe Sex Campaign, 1993 von Michel Comte zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CHF 4.000,00 (€ 3.762,09) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michel Comte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Carla Bruni, 1993 im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 91.000,00 (€ 58.453,24).
