Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2016 Phillips in New York held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work (Forever Free) Join the Band by Michael Ray Charles. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,462.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Ray Charles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Forever Free, One And Another in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 89,694.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2016 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit (Forever Free) Join the Band von Michael Ray Charles zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.462,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Ray Charles erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Forever Free, One And Another im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 89.694,14).
