Auction result well in line with expectations
The work H.2.N.Y. Modern Art Goes Boom by Michael Landy was sold in the First Open | Post-War and Contemporary Art | London auction at Christies in London in September 2016. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,962.10) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Landy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work H.2.N.Y. Tinguely Machine Erases its own Construction in 27 Minutes, which sold at auction in February 2015 for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 25,853.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit H.2.N.Y. Modern Art Goes Boom von Michael Landy wurde im September 2016 in der Auktion First Open | Post-War and Contemporary Art | London bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.962,10) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Landy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit H.2.N.Y.
