This artwork by Michael Heizer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Milan in December last year. In the Un Folle Amore: The Agrati Collection auction, the work Double Negative sold for EUR 3,780.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Heizer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Track Painting in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 1,109,000.00 (€ 982,546.29).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Michael Heizer erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Mailand einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Un Folle Amore: The Agrati Collection wurde die Arbeit Double Negative für EUR 3.780,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Heizer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Track Painting im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.109.000,00 (€ 982.546,29).
