Auction result well in line with expectations
In February last year VAN HAM held the auction From Albers to Vasarely | ONLINE ONLY, which included the work Dragged mass geometric (Rot). by Michael Heizer. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 330.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Heizer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Track Painting in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 1,109,000.00 (€ 982,546.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar letzten Jahres führte VAN HAM die Auktion From Albers to Vasarely | ONLINE ONLY durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dragged mass geometric (Rot). von Michael Heizer zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 330,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Heizer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Track Painting im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.109.000,00 (€ 982.546,29).
