Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Michael Heizer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in April last year. In the Collection Loïc Malle: Only Time Will Tell auction, the work Study for Displaced Mass I sold for EUR 35,280.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Heizer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Track Painting in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 1,109,000.00 (€ 982,546.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michael Heizer erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Collection Loïc Malle: Only Time Will Tell wurde die Arbeit Study for Displaced Mass I für EUR 35.280,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Heizer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Track Painting im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.109.000,00 (€ 982.546,29).
