A top price for Michael Bauer - as previously expected
In May 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Basho Mob by Michael Bauer. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 16,066.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Basho Mob is the most expensive artwork by Michael Bauer that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Basho Mob von Michael Bauer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 16.066,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Basho Mob das teuerste Kunstwerk von Michael Bauer, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
