Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Three works: (i) The Last Judgement in Cyberspace - The Rear View; (ii) The Last Judgement in Cyberspace - The Vertical View; (iii) The Last Judgement in Cyberspace - The Below View by Miao Xiaochun was auctioned at Phillips in London in June 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1 However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Miao Xiaochun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Carrying The Cross (Set Of Eighteen), which sold at auction in April 2016 for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 42,249.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Three works: (i) The Last Judgement in Cyberspace - The Rear View; (ii) The Last Judgement in Cyberspace - The Vertical View; (iii) The Last Judgement in Cyberspace - The Below View von Miao Xiaochun im Juni 2010 bei Phillips in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.681,05) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Miao Xiaochun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Carrying The Cross (Set Of Eighteen) beobachtet, die im April 2016 für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 42.249,37) versteigert wurde.
