Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2015 Sothebys in Beijing held the auction Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art, which included the work H2O The Fountain Of Youth - Front View (Triptych) by Miao Xiaochun. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CNY 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of CNY 53,100.00 (€ 7,678.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Miao Xiaochun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Carrying The Cross (Set Of Eighteen) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 42,249.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2015 führte Sothebys in Beijing die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit H2O The Fountain Of Youth - Front View (Triptych) von Miao Xiaochun zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CNY 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CNY 53.100,00 (€ 7.678,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Miao Xiaochun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Carrying The Cross (Set Of Eighteen) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 42.249,37).
