When the work Carrying The Cross (Set Of Eighteen) by Miao Xiaochun was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 60,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than six times as high at HKD 375,000.00 (€ 42,249.37). This high result makes Carrying The Cross (Set Of Eighteen) the most expensive artwork by Miao Xiaochun that we have observed at auctions so far.
