Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Krafwerk III by Meredyth Sparks was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April 2019. The price achieved of USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,339.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Meredyth Sparks have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gudrun Constructed I-V in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,562.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Krafwerk III von Meredyth Sparks kam im April 2019 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.339,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Meredyth Sparks auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gudrun Constructed I-V im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.562,17).
