A top price for Meredyth Sparks - as previously expected
The work Gudrun Constructed I-V by Meredyth Sparks was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,562.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Gudrun Constructed I-V is the most expensive artwork by Meredyth Sparks that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Gudrun Constructed I-V von Meredyth Sparks kam im März 2012 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.562,17) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Gudrun Constructed I-V das teuerste Kunstwerk von Meredyth Sparks, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
