The work Under the Blanket, from the series Sex in a Big City by Maxim Kantor was auctioned at Phillips in London in March 2010. The auction ended at the price of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,245.45), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maxim Kantor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Cedar and Man in July this year with an auction result of GBP 139,700.00 (€ 162,987.56).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Under the Blanket, from the series Sex in a Big City von Maxim Kantor kam im März 2010 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.245,45) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maxim Kantor erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Cedar and Man im Juli diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 139.700,00 (€ 162.987,56).
