Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Three witches (olives) by Maxim Kantor was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in London in December this year. The price achieved of GBP 50,800.00 (€ 58,519.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maxim Kantor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Cedar and Man, which sold at auction in July this year for GBP 139,700.00 (€ 162,987.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Three witches (olives) von Maxim Kantor wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.800,00 (€ 58.519,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Maxim Kantor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Cedar and Man beobachtet, die im Juli diesen Jahres für GBP 139.700,00 (€ 162.987,56) versteigert wurde.
