Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Maxim Kantor achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in 12 - in April this year. In the Wired: Online Auction auction, the work Thistle on the Shore sold for GBP 60,960.00 (€ 69,474.52) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maxim Kantor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Cedar and Man, which sold at auction in July this year for GBP 139,700.00 (€ 162,987.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Maxim Kantor erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei Phillips in 12 - einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Wired: Online Auction wurde die Arbeit Thistle on the Shore für GBP 60.960,00 (€ 69.474,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Maxim Kantor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Cedar and Man beobachtet, die im Juli diesen Jahres für GBP 139.700,00 (€ 162.987,56) versteigert wurde.
