Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Newspaper by Maxim Kantor was auctioned at Phillips in London in October 2010. The price achieved of GBP 39,650.00 (€ 45,717.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maxim Kantor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Cedar and Man, which sold at auction in July this year for GBP 139,700.00 (€ 162,987.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Newspaper von Maxim Kantor kam im Oktober 2010 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 39.650,00 (€ 45.717,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 35.000,00 – 45.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Maxim Kantor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Cedar and Man beobachtet, die im Juli diesen Jahres für GBP 139.700,00 (€ 162.987,56) versteigert wurde.
