Sold at the upper estimate price
The work The Wrong Gallery. 2005. by Maurizio Cattelan was sold in the Grafik & Multiples auction at Koller in December 2021. The auction ended at the price of CHF 3,000.00 (€ 2,897.95), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of CHF 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurizio Cattelan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Him in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 17,189,000.00 (€ 15,436,910.64).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit The Wrong Gallery. 2005. von Maurizio Cattelan wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Grafik & Multiples bei Koller versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von CHF 3.000,00 (€ 2.897,95) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von CHF 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maurizio Cattelan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Him im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.189.000,00 (€ 15.436.910,64).
