Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Maurizio Cattelan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in September this year. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work The 1:6 Scale Wrong Gallery sold for GBP 4,064.00 (€ 4,064.00) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurizio Cattelan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Him in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 17,189,000.00 (€ 15,436,910.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Maurizio Cattelan erzielte im September diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wurde die Arbeit The 1:6 Scale Wrong Gallery für GBP 4.064,00 (€ 4.064,00) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maurizio Cattelan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Him im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.189.000,00 (€ 15.436.910,64).
