Upper estimate price exceeded by 83 %.
This artwork by Maurizio Cattelan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in January 2024. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work The 1:6 Scale Wrong Gallery sold for GBP 3,302.00 (€ 5,526.42) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurizio Cattelan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Him in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 17,189,000.00 (€ 15,436,910.64).
