Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Maurice Henry by Maurice Henry was auctioned at Bonhams in December last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,151.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Maurice Henry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les œufs du vent in March this year with an auction result of EUR 8,287.50.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Maurice Henry von Maurice Henry kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.151,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maurice Henry auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les œufs du vent im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.287,50.
