This artwork by Maurice Henry achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in March last year. In the The Mind's Eye / Surrealist Sale auction, the work Le temps se couvre sold for GBP 2,295.00 (€ 2,720.98) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maurice Henry - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les œufs du vent, which sold at auction in March this year for EUR 8,287.50.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Maurice Henry erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Mind's Eye / Surrealist Sale wurde die Arbeit Le temps se couvre für GBP 2.295,00 (€ 2.720,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Maurice Henry mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les œufs du vent beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für EUR 8.287,50 versteigert wurde.
