Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Maurice Henry achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in March last year. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work L'Oracle - 1927-72 sold for EUR 1,574.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 700.00. Admittedly, works by Maurice Henry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les œufs du vent in March this year with an auction result of EUR 8,287.50.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Maurice Henry erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit L'Oracle - 1927-72 für EUR 1.574,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 700,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maurice Henry auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les œufs du vent im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.287,50.
