Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Plage à Saint-Jean-de-Luz by Maurice Brianchon was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale Including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso auction at Sothebys in London in March 2021. The price achieved of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 59,207.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maurice Brianchon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Digue de Saint-Jean-De-Luz, which sold at auction in May 2006 for EUR 165,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La Plage à Saint-Jean-de-Luz von Maurice Brianchon wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale Including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.400,00 (€ 59.207,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Maurice Brianchon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Digue de Saint-Jean-De-Luz beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für EUR 165.600,00 versteigert wurde.
