Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Glory by Matthew Ritchie was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,508.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Matthew Ritchie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Big Life oil and ink on canvas 88 x 154 in. (223.5 x 391.2 cm.) Executed in 2002. The Essential Diagrams 12 vinyl decals dimensions variable Executed in 2002. This work is number nine from an edition of twelve. in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 289,000.00 (€ 196,759.26).

Die Arbeit Glory von Matthew Ritchie kam im September 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.508,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
