A top price for Matthew Darbyshire - as previously expected
In June 2013 Phillips in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Untitled: Shelves No.5 (and 3 details) by Matthew Darbyshire. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,671.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Untitled: Shelves No.5 (and 3 details) is the most expensive artwork by Matthew Darbyshire that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Juni 2013 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled: Shelves No.5 (and 3 details) von Matthew Darbyshire zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.671,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Untitled: Shelves No.5 (and 3 details) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Matthew Darbyshire, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
