Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Deposition Model No. 16 - Water Cooler by Matthew Darbyshire was sold in the Art for Maggie's: Everyone's Home of Cancer Care auction at Christies in London in July 2020. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,577.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matthew Darbyshire - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled: Shelves No.5 (and 3 details), which sold at auction in June 2013 for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,671.79).
