Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled: Shelves No. 1 (series 4) by Matthew Darbyshire for GBP 378.00 (€ 422.26). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Matthew Darbyshire achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled: Shelves No.5 (and 3 details) in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,671.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled: Shelves No. 1 (series 4) von Matthew Darbyshire für GBP 378,00 (€ 422,26) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Matthew Darbyshire erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled: Shelves No.5 (and 3 details) im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.671,79).
