engraving, circa 1632, on laid paper, the second (final?) state, with margins, with a central vertical fold, soft creasing, a few pale stains at the upper right margin corner, a 1-in. repaired tear at the lower margin edge near the left corner, pencil annotations on the reverse (slightly showing through in the margins), otherwise in good condition

Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Meister B mit dem Würfel could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints and Multiples auction, the work Two Putti Mocking a Monkey, after Raphael (possibly after Giovanni da Udine) (B. 34) changed hands for USD 180.00 (€ 150.94) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 300.00 – 400.00. Admittedly, works by Meister B mit dem Würfel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Saint Barbara (Bartsch 12) in September 2011 with an auction result of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,016.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Meister B mit dem Würfel konnte im Februar 2006 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints and Multiples wechselte die Arbeit Two Putti Mocking a Monkey, after Raphael (possibly after Giovanni da Udine) (B. 34) für USD 180,00 (€ 150,94) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 300,00 – 400,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Meister B mit dem Würfel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Saint Barbara (Bartsch 12) im September 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.016,51).
