Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Apollo Chasing Daphne, after Giulio Romano (actually after Peruzzi) (B. 21) by Meister B mit dem Würfel was auctioned at Christies in New York in February 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 300.00 – 400.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 90.00 (€ 75.47). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Meister B mit dem Würfel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Saint Barbara (Bartsch 12) in September 2011 with an auction result of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,016.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Apollo Chasing Daphne, after Giulio Romano (actually after Peruzzi) (B. 21) von Meister B mit dem Würfel im Februar 2006 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 300,00 – 400,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 90,00 (€ 75,47) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Meister B mit dem Würfel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Saint Barbara (Bartsch 12) im September 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.016,51).
