It achieved a price of GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,121.15), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 54%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Massimo Vitali - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rosignano, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 151,000.00 (€ 95,539.39).

Die Arbeit Papeete Beach Prima #1921 von Massimo Vitali kam im November letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 27.720,00 (€ 32.121,15) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 54%. Für andere Arbeiten von Massimo Vitali mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rosignano beobachtet, die im März 2008 für USD 151.000,00 (€ 95.539,39) versteigert wurde.
