Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Landscape by Mary Potter was sold in the Made in Britain auction at Sothebys in London in March 2019. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,155.86). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mary Potter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Evening II, which sold at auction in June 2008 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 31,600.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Landscape von Mary Potter wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion Made in Britain bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.155,86) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Mary Potter mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Evening II beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 31.600,84) versteigert wurde.
