Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Flint I by Mary Potter. The price achieved of GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,490.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mary Potter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Evening II in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 31,600.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flint I von Mary Potter zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.490,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mary Potter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Evening II im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 31.600,84).
