Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Bonhams in London held the auction Blazing a TrailModern British Women, which included the work Beach Scene with Seated Figure by Mary Potter. The price achieved of GBP 5,120.00 (€ 5,120.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mary Potter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Evening II in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 31,600.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Blazing a TrailModern British Women durch, in der auch die Arbeit Beach Scene with Seated Figure von Mary Potter zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.120,00 (€ 5.120,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mary Potter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Evening II im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 31.600,84).
