The work Sun and Stones by Mary Potter was sold in the Blazing a TrailModern British Women auction at Bonhams in London in September 2021. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,562.50 (€ 11,126.10), 59% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mary Potter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Evening II, which sold at auction in June 2008 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 31,600.84).

Die Arbeit Sun and Stones von Mary Potter wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion Blazing a TrailModern British Women bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.562,50 (€ 11.126,10) und damit 59% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Mary Potter mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Evening II beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 31.600,84) versteigert wurde.
