Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tea (Woman with a Fan) by Mary Cassatt was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in Paris in October this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,320.00 (€ 7,872.82) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mary Cassatt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Young Lady In A Loge Gazing To Right in October last year with an auction result of USD 7,489,000.00 (€ 7,538,755.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tea (Woman with a Fan) von Mary Cassatt wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.320,00 (€ 7.872,82) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
