Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Liberation through Expression: Outsider and Vernacular Art, which included the work Untitled (Seven Stags), 1953 by Martín Ramírez. The price achieved of USD 75,000.00 (€ 69,239.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martín Ramírez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Tunnels and Train), 1950s, which sold at auction in January 2021 for USD 187,500.00 (€ 154,511.74).

Im Januar 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Liberation through Expression: Outsider and Vernacular Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Seven Stags), 1953 von Martín Ramírez zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 69.239,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Martín Ramírez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Tunnels and Train), 1950s beobachtet, die im Januar 2021 für USD 187.500,00 (€ 154.511,74) versteigert wurde.
