Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boring Photographs by Martin Parr was sold in the The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation auction at Phillips in New York in October 2017. The price achieved of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,151.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Martin Parr have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Last Resort, 1983-86 in April 2021 with an auction result of GBP 21,420.00 (€ 24,639.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Boring Photographs von Martin Parr wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.151,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Martin Parr auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Last Resort, 1983-86 im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.420,00 (€ 24.639,23).
