This artwork by Martin Mooney achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2001. In the The Irish Sale, Part II, including the Studio Collection of auction, the work Study of Arch, Rissani sold for GBP 1,116.25 (€ 1,871.42) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 500.00. Admittedly, works by Martin Mooney have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Santa Maria della Salute from the Redentore, Venice in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 15,105.52).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Martin Mooney erzielte im Mai 2001 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Irish Sale, Part II, including the Studio Collection of wurde die Arbeit Study of Arch, Rissani für GBP 1.116,25 (€ 1.871,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Martin Mooney auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Santa Maria della Salute from the Redentore, Venice im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 15.105,52).
