Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2005 Christies in London held the auction THE IRISH SALE, which included the work Still Life Study by Martin Mooney. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,200.52), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martin Mooney - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Santa Maria della Salute from the Redentore, Venice, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 15,105.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion THE IRISH SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life Study von Martin Mooney zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.200,00 (€ 6.200,52) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Martin Mooney mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Santa Maria della Salute from the Redentore, Venice beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 15.105,52) versteigert wurde.
